Heimdallr
Hi guys, could anyone tell me which kind of lp is this? it's very strange, it features a steinberger bridge, a locking nut(?), and an hss coil configuration. The serial is impossible to read and i do not have better photos... Thank You!
gearhead
Welcome to the forum! I don't believe I have seen a model like that, but I'm sure someone here has. Good looking guitar! Is it a bolt on or set neck?
RobinTheHood
Very interesting. Well, I can tell you it is from the 90's, and from the looks of the headstock, I'd say it was for the Japanese market. It looks like an LP version of the higher end Epiphone S-Series. It has the Contoured body, Steinberger bridge, HSS pickup config and kill switches for each PUP. I wouldnt be surprised if those are Tech-II pickups, either.
EpiEric
Here's basically the same guitar in a single humbucker configuration: http://www.guitar-museum.com/guitar-21614-Epiphone-Les-Paul-with-Steinberger-bridge

RobinTheHood
Ah...the headstock fooled me. Those ran from 1985-88, which makes sense because the Epiphone strats that featured kill switches ran from 1986-89. I was under the impresson that the non-angled logo guitars were only produced in the 90's.
Heimdallr
The steinberger bridge looks quite bad, how is the construction quality? Is it worth a try? http://epi.p3net.net/wiki/index.php/Steinberger_KB_Tremolo
