I snagged this one from Ebay' date=' from a pawn shop in Florida, USA. I asked

questions of seller, rcvd prompt responses. Mine was manufactured at

Daewoo Plant on 2006, I paid $300 USD. It's actually my favorite one to

play - FAST neck. Of course, I did eventually upgrade pups and tuners.

Good luck, don't get caught up in buying frenzy and overpay, there will

always be more out there!

Nice looking guitar - not a million miles away from the condition of the one I've got my beady little eye on.

Good point you raised about buying frenzy - I've seen it so many times before.

Sometimes bidders are simply determined to get an item that they end up paying more for the used item than they would for the same item brand new [cool]

I've bought a few items from eBay (mostly mountain bike of golf related) but I always use a sniping tool.

I determine what the max price I'd be happy to pay, key it in to the snipe site, and let them take care of business

Just so you know' date=' Guitar Center has the Epi Studio for $299!!

Not bad at all!

Yay, Sheila! I had the $299 price in an MF catalog, but the next one

showed it at $399. Gotta kick off a new thread for this in case someone

is seriously looking for a new git.....

I contacted the seller about my concerns re buying from eBay. (fakes, dud necks, wonky electrics, etc)

He is pretty open - says bought it new from Thomann.de about four years ago.

He further states that the neck is true, and all electrics are as they should be.

Given that this is a cash on collection, if the guitar doesn't live up to the rosy picture he's painted, I think I'll be within my rights not to part with any of my hard earned folding stuff.

Anyway, I've set up a snipe for it, and if I get it at the (reasonable) price I've set, then Good.

If not, well I'll just have to keep looking and trying different guitars.

It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it #-o

It's good that the seller is communicative. Keep us posted and good hunting!

Sheila
