Freightrain
it's a cherry red dot. The nut was just loose and the jack fell inside. any advice/tips on how to possibly get the darn thing out?
jcwillow777
Try to get the jack out of the f-hole, there should be enough wire. Then run some fishing line down through the jack hole and up through the f-hole. Tie it around the jack and pull it back up the hole. When you tighten the nut make sure you use something so the jack doesn't turn when you tighten the nut. Some guys have used a screwdriver and hold the tip of the jack to stop the jack from turning. Good luck. By the way, it's the output jack.
Strumbone
Bend a paper clip to make a "J" hook and go fishing...might require turning/twisting guitar body to get it close. Once hooked, follow procedures above.
