Best case for MIJ Epiphone Les Paul

Hey guys, I'm new here. Anyways this looked like the best place to go for some advice. I recently bought a year 2000 Epiphone Japan Les Paul. It came with a gig bag and I want to up-grade to a HSC. The thing is most after market hardshell cases for *les Paul Style* guitars don't take into consideration the 17 degree head stock angle on Gibson's and most MIJ Les Paul guitars so the top of the head rest on the floor of the case. I want a good case the will properly supprt the neck and keep the head stock floating off the floor.

One case I looked at was this.

Another I looked at was the travelite les paul case

Any help would be great.

I would defiitely want one of the epiphone cases, but I don't know if it would accomodate the headstock angle of the japanese les pauls.

I saw the chainsaw case, and they are awesome. I had one with an old gibby I owned. This is just me being anal, but I would prefer a case that says epiphone or is blank for an epi guitar. Plus Gibson cases are up there in price

Yeah, that one on eBay is a buy-it-now for $185.00 usd. I can relate to the "proper name" thing, too.....but when I got mine, it was just part of the deal so I let it slide.

Headstock Angle, link follows, scroll down to

"Construction Details"...

Based on this, the EPI Casino ALSO has a 17 deg. angle,

but a casino case is too big inside for an EPI LP.

Sooooo, anyone out there ever put a GIBSON LP in an

EPI Case? How'd it fit?

I just checked both my EPI LPs IN the case, about 3/8" +

clearance between headstock and case bottom. And Epis

have 14 degree angle. Interesting....

I got one of these SKB cases for my Epi LP Special: http://www.amazon.com/SKB-56-Molded-Guitar-Style/dp/B0002D03XY

I just thought I'd try something different than a regular Epi case' date=' and I must say it is a very nice case, built to take a real beating

Do they make cases for other bodystyles, I wonder? I like the way it looks to be built.
