Guest
Was changing the strings on my Zephyr yesterday and my favourite strings just about manage with the frequensator and all is OK but I got to thinking..... My Zephyr will always be completely stock. The only thing I would ever consider replacing are the pots and only if ever required. Which I do not think is the case at the moment. So, I do not want to change the tailpiece bracket, but would like a solution for a bit more reach for the bass strings. I would like a spare long section of the frequensator to replace the short side. But another thing I thought of was buying a casino style tailpiece from GFS $11 GFS Casino style tailpiece and just storing the two frequensator arms and hooking the Casino style tailpiece onto the two hooks on the frequensator bracket. So if you own a Casino and a Riviera and a tape measure could you tell me if that is feasible.. arrow marks the width to measured and if that would sit nicely on a frequensator bracket... frenchie1281734003
Cooper. There are two types of Casino Trapeze available, those that come stock on the Asian made guitars, (Chinese, Korean & Japanese both Matsumoku & Terada). The measurement you want on those is 35mm or 1&11/32nds (at arrow point). And this trapeze is 5 and a 1/2 inch long (not including nuts). Part numbers are TP-0412-002 Gold, price $24. or TP0412-010 Chrome, price $20. Available from Allparts Then there is the U.S. type, found on the Lennon reissues & Gibson 330`s. They measure 34mm or 1 and 6/16ths (at arrow point). And this Trapeze is 6 inch long (not including nuts). This particular version, is also heavier, and if I remember rightly Allparts stock them, Part numbers on these are TP-0410-002 Gold, price $60. TP-0410-001 Nickel, price $50. And TP-0410-010 Chrome, also $50. Also Allparts Hope this helps. Steve.

[/quote'] Steve That's it then, I have a solution....The frequensator width at that point is, 50mm so I will buy the $11 tailpiece and get some gold coloured rod and bend a piece 50mm at the arrow point and two prongs 6" in length and get the father in law to put a thread on the ends so I can use the string holder of the GFS tailpiece......... Then, I have a solution, and the guitar stays stock, no need to take off the tailpiece bracket... Thanks Steve
