Oh nooooooo! Epiless for the first time.

Just sold my Epi Riviera. This is the first time I have been without an Epi since I started playing guitar again. The Riv was so well made, but had that doggone skinny neck I just could never get comfortable with.

You have to wonder how well they will continue to do with the flood of Chinese guitars (of course that includes EPi) coming in at a lower price point than the typical same style Epi. I have a Chinese made Ibby and the quality is spot on and it plays like butter. I also have two Chinese 335 style guits, both cost less than $250, although they did require some fret work, nut replacement and in one pup replacements. Even on the one requiring the most work, I still have less than $400 in the guitar.

Now if Epi would just make a Casino with a chunky neck I would be back in business. [thumbup]

For some reason I can't get it on with solid bodies. (ooops) What I meant to say is solid bodies feel smallish. :^o

Anyway I prefer hollow and Semi's and have given up on buying any more solids except for a lap steel. But one never knows what will be introduced in the future.

ZepReg has a neck like a baseball bat, very 50's, and way bigger than a Dot.
