Stevie Nazarenie
i'm looking at the 1970's sg standards. is there a special name for the neck joint that is different to the ordinary standards? the neck is shorter as there is no gap after the neck pickup... what year was this style sg made to? i know some of the elite sg's have this design but i can't afford one like that! are there any today like these? gl297
I forget what it is called, I had a 1976 Gibson SG Standard which looks identical to one the guy in the video is playing. I think I remember reading that they considered it a more stable neck joint and better balanced. My guitar also had the wide-travel bridge. Epiphone SG specials and 310's necks are almost positioned the same way.
