Hi

I have read a lot of comments and reviews about this two guitar, but I just can't make a choice...

Which of this two guitars would you choose for someone playing blues, folk ( kind of old school music )?

Thanks in advance

...that was the answer I was waiting for ...

Then you ain't gonna like this - I have several guitars, including a really nice Epiphone Hummingbird & Casino, but I probably play my EJ160-E more than all my other guitars put together. I tried one of the new Texans in the store the other day - well, I didn't really try it, I just picked it up & strummed a couple of chords. Nice guitar, but I wouldn't trade my Hummingbird or my EJ160-E for it. To each his own - that's why they make all those different models. Try before you buy.

Hi -

I own an EJ160-E, mainly for the purpose of wanting that "Beatle-sound" when I play their early songs. But I use it "plugged" for other songs, too. It has a rather unique sound, that most perhaps will find limiting. I also have a DR500-M that's a gem, and I use it most of the time, for a greater range of songs than the EJ160. I have played Inspired by Texan's in local shops - it's a very good guitar. But I don't believe you can compare the the EJ160 with the Texan as they seem to be two different guitar types. For your stated needs, the Texan seems a more logical choice or, perhaps the new DR500-MCE.

Regards,
