rdsmith3
Epiphone Limited Edition G-400 The Guitar Center near me has this on sale for $280 this weekend. It just says "high output" humbucker pickups. Are these any good?
animalfarm
Wow, both Guitar Center AND Musician's Friend are pretty limited on their description other than "high-output Alnico V humbuckers". What I can tell you is an EPI G-400 normally comes with: Bridge Pickup - HOTCH(G), 13.3K Ohms Neck Pickups - 57CH(G), 8.13K Ohms I've traded for and bought several sets over the last couple of years, and YES, they are decent pickups. I LOVE using them in Project Guitars! Occasionally, I'll slap a set of GFS Humbuckers in a project git, but I have no problems using the EPI pips. This is, of course, just MY opinion... :P [thumbup]
