But save your money, it ain't worth it. In fact, you'll probably make the guitar sound worse. If you had to have gold covers, you'd be better off putting the money into better pickups that come with gold covers. But gold covers won't make you play better, sound better, increase the value of your guitar... Yeah, they'll look pretty for a while, then the acid from your hands will start eating away at the gold plating, then they'll look pretty crappy. animalfarm
Edit: I also have an LP Special II, the Humbuckers to follow WILL fit it. (see signature lines). Agree with jerrymac and bryanfofyan, save yer money on pup covers, head to Guitarfetish (link follows), check out the Gold Pups. Good Quality, Great Prices, World-wide shipping. http://store.guitarfetish.com/humbuckers.html I installed a set of "Fat Pat" Boutique HBs in a Raven West LP Copy, went from sounding mediocre to sounding like Neal Schon's Git in any given Journey recording. Only way I could describe tonal change, and that was thru a Marshall amp. Was HIGHLY pleased, will not hesitate to purchase again. MANY to choose from, others on this forum have used them, will have thoughts. GUITARFETISH also has "Clearance Section" with GOLD pups that closely match the values of what you have stock in your git, but I have NO idea WHO makes them, will save even MORE coin if you should choose to go that direction... http://store.guitarfetish.com/gohumapaovbl.html GUITARFETISH pups are 4 wire, they supply a total garbage wiring schematic with the pups, but say you can use a Semour Duncam schematic if you wish, which I DID.
