mconde
Does any know or has anyone tried to change the fixed bridge of a Synapse 2F for the (R-Trem) tremolo bridge? Thank you very much in advance for any support and advise you can provide.
boswell
The string spacing is different so you won't have much luck swapping it for a R Trem.
headlost
Yes, in fact the string spacing being different, total bridge width is not the same as well, which means you'd have to fill some parts of the bridge cavity, while routing other portions. Anyway it seems possible for an opaque refinished body to get a good final result, even thought the strings will be spread as if they belonged to a regular, previous series Steinberger guitar, not the way these are on a Synapse, which has a slightly wider neck in order to match the wider bridge. headlost
Hi again! Did you purchase one of the MusicYo scratch-and-dent R-trems? If you'll put it in your Synapse, I'd be interested in the Synapse fixed bridge. Greetings, JPB

mconde
Thanks everyone for your feedback and comments I guess I better leave the guitar the way it is. I am very happy with it, I just wish it came with a tremolo bar.
