J-45 Gold Top

Hi Folks - anyone familiar with the J-45 Gold Top acoustic?

I'm thinking of buying one and would be interested to know if the gold top has any effect on the sound?

I have to travel quite a distance to see this guitar & would like some opinions before I decide to make the trip...

There has been some discussion on this over on the Acoustic section. Never seen or played one though.

 

A gold top J45. It shouldn't work, but it does.

Go to the bottom of the page and click on the drop down menu that crrently says "The Gibson Lounge". The find "Gibson Acoustics" and it will take you there.

 

I don't know how you search topics though since they changed the forum. Hopefully someone else will help. The topic dares from about 6 weeks ago from memory.
