artb
Would like to know everything about this refined reissue. Best I have seen. Came from original owner with careful preservation. Has original strings and case. Superior 5 ply neck and old fashioned woods with light weight construction. Eastern hard rock maple and Adirondak red spruce. Was told only was from Montana dealer. One of less than 30 dealers receiving a monthly special from Gibson. Deleted photos. Reference below shows one.
BigKahune
Wow that's a beauty. Chicago Music Exchange has #22 - http://www.chicagomusicexchange.com/products/Gibson-%28Vintage%7B47%7DUsed%29-J%252d200-Natural-LTD-Montana-Special-22-of-36-1993.html You could email Gibson C/S with the serial number and ask for the info. artb
Much appreciate the reference and suggestion. Notice that its not a reissue for 1938 original since it was rosewood. 1947 for maple. Selling price seems high for a noticably used one.
BigKahune
... Selling price seems high for a noticably used one. Yeah, I thought the price as high. They put it on ebay with a "Make Offer button" - http://cgi.ebay.com/Gibson-J-200-Natural-LTD-Montana-Special-22-36-1993-/360304041588?pt=Guitar&hash=item53e3cb5e74 BTW, Welcome to the forum. . . KL
It's a nice guitar, but that strap button is horrible and so is that metal plate screwed onto the back of the headstock and that metal TRC. Sometimes less is more.
