luvgibson
Hello Gibsonites, I,ve just bought a Custom Shop ES355 with Maestro. Let me say this is by far the BEST Gibson I,ve ever owned and I,ve always had good ones!! However, I,ve got 2 points I,d like your help on: 1: Am I limited to using 10-46 guage strings...I,d prefer 11-47 with a wound third? 2: When putting the guitar in its case how is it best to locate the arm..over the pups or back towards the bottom strap button?. I just wonder if the case is in fact deep enough ? Your advise would be most appreciated Thank You
EVOL!
Cannot speak on the case, but 11's will be more than fine on this guitar. You will need to have the nut's slots widened and the guitar re-intonated. May need to adjust the truss rod too, but these are all run of mill items for your local guitar tech to handle. BigKahune
I've got a Maestro on a solid body. I fold the arm over the top of the Maestro (pointing towards the bass side). Not sure how that'll work on yer 355.
