CAMELEYE
Any of you ever removed (or had removed) the pickup system from your Gibson? Can this be done easily and without marring the guitar? Thanks, Ce.
Buc McMaster
Yep. Removed the factory pickup from my CJ. Basically just pulled everything out intact. Remove strings, lift out saddle and pull out the UST from inside; pull the soundhole volume board off and pull the battery pack off the neck block (both attached with double sided tape); de-nut (yew!) the endpin jack assembly and presto! It's gone. A bone endpin plug from Colosi closed up the hole and a new saddle corrected for string height. Quite simple and zero damage to the instrument. ps......a little Goo Gone and elbow grease removed the adhesive left on the neck block.
CAMELEYE
Thanks, Buc! Just what I was hoping to hear. Now, anyone want to buy a nice Gibson acoustic guitar pickup? Ce
