Upiory
Allow me to add my newbie voice to the congratulatory chorus. What kind of pups did she come equipped with?

Bunky
hey guys i'm considering selling this. I live in Nova Scotia and don't really want to ship. I'm asking 2500 o.b.o. So if anyone wants to take a drive up let me know. :) Looking to fund an elitist casino and rickenbacker, and vox. I have a Beatles thing going on. :)
brianh
Ooh that's tempting. $2,500 might be a bit optimistic though, they are selling for closer to $2k on eBay... http://cgi.ebay.com/GIBSON-EPIPHONE-ELITIST-BYRDLAND-EPI-ELITE-ARCHTOP-NICE-/200580331388?pt=Guitar&hash=item2eb384f77c
Bunky
I saw one go for 2300. Another fellow on here mentioned to me seeing one go for 2800! If i had the time, patience, and energy i'd put it up on kijiji and sit on that price for however long.
bobouz
They sold new for $1999.
Bunky
Actually 3000.
brianh
They sold new for $1999. Actually 3000. You're both right - MSRP was $3,075, street price was $2,000. In any case, a guitar, like anything else for sale is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it at some point in time. Here's what the Electric Guitar Blue Book currently says Epiphone Elitist Byrdlands are worth, although YMMV: The blonde one that sold on eBay for $2,195 last week was in unusually fine condition with all the case candy. They are getting hard to find though, and the Blue Book is not the last word; it really depends on how bad someone wants one and what they have to chose from which right now ain't much. Bunky
I'm aiming for the keener fellows. :) Like I had mentioned already, the guitar is well worth it.

bobouz
Yes, I was referring to the last street price for a new Byrdland. The Broadway was going for the same amount at the time. No question you've got a wonderful guitar there, but imho, when the price starts going north of two grand, it seems like too much to fork out for a Japanese made Epi. Oh I thought you meant new price. I understand that 2000 is probably average. I just feel i couldn't get a nicer guitar for that much money, and if there are some people out there paying some of the prices I quoted i may as well take advantage of it. Anyone want some Nova Scotia tourist information?
Bunky
If someone drove up to Nova Scotia i'd sell it to them for 2100 canadian and not a penny less. :)
bohemian
FWIW : I paid $1619 for my new 2008 Byrdland. Mine was the last Byrdland and the last Elitist sold by that particular dealership. Right place, right time. I would gladly have paid more and I was prepared to pay the average street price (at the time) of $1999. I have seen them for sale for $1900 - $2700 depending on condition. My 2008 Byrdland and my 2008 Am Std Tele get equal time.
