Nacho Posted January 28, 2011 Share Posted January 28, 2011 Hello, I have a ES333. I cannot be sure what model it is exactly since I bought it second hand. The S/N is 00353774. The finish is wooden color. Looks similar to the John Lennon Revolution Casino or the natural antique. I am not sure about what is the official name of the finish or even the model. There is a stain in the area where the elbow stands on the guitar. As I am not sure of the finish or the model I’m a bit worried about how to clean it. All these models come with nitrolaquer finish? therefore I can clean with the same product than any other Gibson?. Or this natural wood finish is different and requires a different treatment?. strat-o-steve Posted January 28, 2011 Share Posted January 28, 2011 If the stain is on the finish, which will be nitro, then naptha can be safely used.
