ToneQuest
Who makes the best sounding Alnico II humbuckers - Gibson or Seymour Duncan?
crossroadsnyc
what's better: pepsi or coke? I prefer pepsi - some people prefer coke. I also prefer Gibson's. I like the burstbucker 1 (neck) & 2 (bridge) followed closely by the 57 classics (neck) 57 classic plus (bridge). Probably a lot of Slash fans on here will say I'm nuts and to go with Seymour Duncan...all comes down to what you prefer the sound of, as well as probably how easily you are influenced by marketing. ALIEN8
I like coke-a-cola... but I also like Gibson and Seymour Duncan P/U's... That's the equivalent of asking if you have ears... there's just no point - even if you don't have ears. +:-@

LerxstLee
If you play your own music then whatever " brand & model " you choose is like the coke or pepsi , So you go for your favorites most of the time . The only condition I can think of to use a different P/U other than your favorite is if you changed bands and NEEDED to change to a different model , and or a different brand to get the sound of the music that " new Band " you are in [ Just an example ] might play a totally different set list of music . If I was hired for heavy metal , I would change P/Us , and some might need a different amp to go with it . Sometimes more is better . Beware , sometimes more is not /Cheers
