leopold Posted September 4, 2008 Share Posted September 4, 2008 I am interested in ordering a new 2008 1956 Goldtop from the Gibson CS but have a few questions. - Is the body chambered/relieved or solid? I have seen both listed on MF with the solid body being less expensive. I would prefer solid (~9lbs seems to balance nicely on the shoulder not sure if 7.5 would also on an LP). - Are the P90 pickups the same as the Gibson USA P90s? - Can it be ordered "glossy" i.e. non-VOS? I like the VOS and CA finishes but not on the Goldtop...want that to be shiny. What is the up-charge for glossy (roughly)? Thanks for any info.
