vulgarium
I had a 2006 LP59, and I found one of official topics said Gibson Custom started to use real honduran mahogany in 2007... Does that mean a LP59 built in 2006 using other "mahogany"? Is that true? Thx!
Custom Admin
we use south american mahogany, and have for several years. that is as specific as anyone here will get with me, so i'm not sure where all these questions about honduran mahogany are coming from. delawaregold
I think that many of the questions come from articles that report the sale of Honduran Mahogany to Gibson. Obviously, Honduras is not in South America, and since Gibson is buying Honduran Mahogany, the assumption is that Gibson is manufacturing something from it.
