zombywoof
I might have missed it but I do not recall seeing anyone talking about their 1970s Mark Series guitars. I have only ever played one. Don't recall the model number but it had a rosewood body and gold hardware. I think it was supposed to have a removable pickguard or something like that. Gotta tell ya for a guitar hatched in lab at MIT or someplace, it sounded better than I would have thought. A pretty nice tone when flatpicked and good projection. But the deal breaker was when fingerpicked. Not the most touch responsive acoustic I have ever laid my hands on. Took a bit of muscle to get a sound out it. But if I used a pick more than my fingers that geetar might be sitting here right now.
ksdaddy
Never been within 50 feet of one to my knowledge. I would love to have one just because I also like AMC Matadors and Edsels. Preferably a MK53 in all blonde. There's one on ebay and he keeps dropping the price but not enough.

ksdaddy
Not the boxy old 4 door Matador, THIS one: Now can't you picture a Mark Series laying on the hood? I'd be wearing elephant bells and mutton chops for the occasion. Plug some Grand Funk into the 8 track and spark up a Kool Super Long.
