Goon55
When my brother passed away he left a Gibson solid body electric that I simply cannot identify. Hopefully someone out there can help. The guitar has a serial number of 83007605 notched into the back of the headstock. I know that it was made in Nashville in Oct 1987. On the front of the headstock is a plate with the initials "WRC". This guitar is shaped similar to a Fender Strat. It has 2 single coil pickups and a humbucker at the bridge. It also has a Floyd Rose tuning system. It is definitely a Gibson, but I don't know much more than that. Can anyone help.
TattooedCarrot
The WRC was a collaboration between Gibson and Wayne Charvel in an attempt to break into the "super strat/shredder" market of the late 80's. Apparently, production only ran for 18 months. Wayne Charvel's namesake model offering through Gibson, the "Gibson W.R.C. Signature Model" - of which only 200 were made, but this saw little recognition and was short-lived.
Goon55
That's it! The red one is an exact match for the guitar. I would never part with it, but I was wondering if anyone has a ballpark idea of it's value.
