Many were mandolin strings covered in rust, many were German made guitar strings, E1 and G3 only, and they were BLACK. I don't mean from age/rust/crud, I mean they were made that way. I forget the brand. Not much of note in the box, some old Gibson strings, Savarez, stuff from the 60s or so. Some UK made strings too, all singles, no sets. Pretty useless stuff but I'm too dumb to just throw them out. I did find a full set of black nylon tape wound bass strings branded 'Alex'. Anybody ever heard of them?
