knox345
hi guys i just joined this forum to get an answer on something. i have a 72' 345 with an odd number on the back of the head stock. just below "made in usa" there is the number 437 stamped. it seems like it has been stamped one at a time because they don't line up too good. at 1st i thought this was a one of a kind occurance, but on ebay i saw a 71' LP custom with the same identical numbers stamped in the same identical place. i have contacted gruhns and the guy didn't have a clue. heritage wouldn't even answer my email. so i'm hoping someone on here is in the know about this. one guitar from the west coast and the other from the east coast with the same exact stamp. is this a gibson major repair mark? it's not 2nd or bgn i wouldn't think. please help.........
