hotrod128z
Hey gang, I was wondering what the specs are on the 1995 model Standards? Are they the same as current or have they changed? Particulars that I am curious about are neck(is the 1995 a 50's style shape or a 60's? slim taper) and the pickups(is the 1995 the 498/490 combo or something different)? All other spec info would be greatly appreciated as well hotrod
GibSinCity
I've got a `93 Standard. 50's style neck. Covered 490/498 pickups combo. I believe these are the specs. for SG Standards from that time period and are the same as the current models. As always, there may be some special models such as exclusives, special runs, etc. that are different with respect to components etc. And some specifically designated as "60's" necks. An example would be the new SG `60's Standard. A Guitar Center exclusive. It has a 60's profile neck and uncovered coil-splitting pickups. This year being the 50th anniversary of the SG, there will be different models released. Including Melody Maker models,`60's Tribute models with P-90 pickups and also a 24 fret model. StijnV
Please find attached the specs of the "standard" SG Standard from 1992, which should apply to a "standard" SG Standard from 1995 as well. Kind regards, Stijn
