pete c Posted May 9, 2011 Share Posted May 9, 2011 hey fred, i was in radio shack last night. and saw some solder in a syringe all you had to do is put some on connection and use a lighter or a match to melt it. i might pick some up and see how it works, anyone else try this stuff? Stuff like soldering braided wiring to the back of a pot or soldering a pickup cover was a ***** for me... until ... More heat = easier soldering... just be careful not to melt any plastic or any other important object near your solder joint.. I don't think that would be very good for pedal building. Your dealing with some heat sensitive components true... but I would rather have a more powerful iron than one that cannot do the big jobs...
