The early Gibby LPs were made with old growth Mahogany......By the time they started making Les Pauls again, all that wood was gone.........Heck, I can tell that my Epi guitars sound better after aging even a few years...I have a 1972 Epi electric that just sings......Stradivarious used wood from the mini European Ice Age; the wood had tight growth rings...
