amx05462 Posted July 15, 2011 Share Posted July 15, 2011 welli got a ej 200. i like it nice guitar. honestly i like the look of mine over the look of the artist. i like the moustach bridge better and the ej200 pick guard isnt plain. if thats the only difference then i wouldnt spend another 200 for that guitar. I recommend buying new since the 2011 models have solid tops as opposed to laminate tops and I also highly recommend playing before you buy, which you have done. I also suggest getting it set up, and possibly replacing the saddle with bone. In my experience, the Artist has a better sound than the Ej-200 reg., but if you are hellbent on getting a moustache bridge and such I wouldn't settle for the artist. I just wrote a lot about the sound of the two guitars in a thread called "Ej-200 vs. artist" or something like that if you'd like to hear my take on it.
