duane v
Wrote this song in 1982 about our 1982 graduation.. Since three of us that were in the band together and went to the same high school and graduated that year (82).... We did this as a tribute to our experience.... which was a great one Recording = 1984 or 85 Vocals = Shane Drums = Bear Guitars = Me Bass = Bill Keys = Cant remember, but I think Shane or myself did them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYCIRar_2rw
saturn
It is very "80s" sounding, just like the last one I heard. But, still sounds really good, especially considering how you guys were just out of high school.
Jantha
It does have an 80's sound to it, but hey, it WAS the 80's. I swear that I sense a little EVH influence in the guitar? I thought it sounded pretty good.
stein
I graduated in '87. In '84 I was in 7th or 8th grade. Van Halen came out in '79, So, I am remembering, in '82, The CRUE had not even made it big (still playing the strip). In '82, THAT sound was not even really on the radio. In '84, It would have been just barely coming out. At that time, to make a recording of that quality, you would have had to have some good stuff, and they didn't have pro-tools. Mixing was limited. Impressive, that you did that back then, especially at the age you were. That sound became a cookie-cutter sound but it wasn't in '82, it would have been cutting edge.
