CorvetteJoe
I recently traded my dad a guitar for his old classical guitar I could use to beat around with. It's pretty old, not in the best of shape and I had always thought it to be a cheap piece of junk, which he always said it was. Turns out after looking at the label, it's an "Epiphone Classic FC-20" I thought, Sweet! It's a nice guitar after all. The problem is, I can't seem to find anything anywhere mentioning this model. I see Fender FC-20 and an old product catalog I found on here looks close to it http://philsfenders.com/advertisements.html The tag inside reads: Model - Classic Epiphone - FC-20 No. - there is no number, the serial number goes here maybe? I don't know. It appears to be blank, not even faded, just nothing there. Here's a few pictures of it: Is this a real Epiphone? is this some old cheap knockoff? What is this thing? (Please ignore the big dust bunny living inside, I have not even had a chance to deep clean it yet, I was excited about the possibility of it being a decent guitar) Thanks for any help at all! Much appreciated! Thanks! Joe
slimt
Hello, I see a mid 70s to late 70s Made in japan Epiphone Classical... You probably wont find any info on those escept for ebay.. the labels look nearly the same as the 60s Epis... I would imagine its a good players guitar though.. It sounds great, nice warm tone, plays easily, good action. I just wish I could confirm it is what is is :/
CorvetteJoe
I got it restrung tonight, tuned out, played hard for a couple hours, retuned between songs.. it seems to be holding. sounds warm and soft. such a difference between that and my acoustic.
