milod
Hmmmmm.... I might be a dad some day when I grow up. But I think it highly unlikely. And I'm older than Grampa. <grin> Seriously though... I think what's happening is a "marketplace" where there is so much stuff available that "classics" from Swing through the 70s are heard as just plain good music, even as there's something about the great baroque and classical composers and some of the early but rough-edged country and blues stuff. m
pippy
It's cropped up before but one thing which made much of the music from the late '60s to the late '70s so interesting was the way 'Heavy' bands would release records with an amazing breadth of musical styles. L.Z.'s 'Four Symbols' is a case in point. There's everything there from English Folk, through Rock and Roll, Slide Blues, Hippie-Groove, to the pomp of perhaps THE Stadium Rock Classic. I like a mixture of stuff on an album. I like to know when one song finishes and the next begins.......... P.
