Hey guys, I am thinking about buying an Epiphone em-2 rebel custom. I am wondering what a fair price is for this guitar. I could not find much info on it and after hours of searching I have decided to ask for help. What kind of quality are these guitars? What is a good price for a used one in good condition? Thanks for any help You all can give me!!!!

For as much or a love affair I have with the EM-2 Rebel, I have never actually played one. I have a couple EBM-5 Rebel basses though and I love them. A fair price for the EM-2 Rebel is about $350 tops. I've heard that the pickups arent the greatest, but neither are the EBM pickups, so thats no surprise. Sorry I dont have more info on the EM for you.

Thanks for your help everyone! I have one more question that I need help with, concerning this guitar... When I spoke to the guy he told me that the 17th through 21st fret(ish) would need fret work in the future. When I asked him to describe the problem he referred to the intonation stating that, "For example, when you slide from the 17th to the 18th fret it is the same note." "there is no tone change." This has me a little concerned. Is this just a problem with setup or will this guitar need costly fret work for me to get full use from the 2 octave range?! Also, as for price he is stuck on $200 for the guitar as is. Is this a fair price? What do you think about the problem? Please leave your feedback and comments! Thanks to everyone for the help!!

Yeah, thats just a high 18th fret or a low 17th fret. Either he wore out the 17th, or the 18th is starting to work itself loose.

Personally, I would take the gamble and buy the guitar. But I would also fix the problem myself. $200 seems like a good deal, but what kind of condition is the rest of the guitar in?

Its kind of a tought call. I know that I would probably go for it, but I'm also pretty handy with fixing things like that. If I was dependent on a luthier to fix those things, I might just pass on the deal.
