mnixon Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 So, I've got this little problem on my hands ... I have no idea what it is. I've read a few threads, and seen some full sized guitars online. My first tip was that it's one of the kids/miniature guitars... The Gibson logo leads me to believe it's a fake, but it seems a bit older - the wood and decals both show some age, and was covered in dust when I found it. It's also got some nice, solid weight to it... and seems to have proper electronics. More pictures: http://imageshack.us/g/824/p1020795m.jpg/ Ideas?
dem00n Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 What the ****... I dont know what it is but its awesome. I doubt its a Gibson to..havent seen that logo on a Gibson guitar. How does it play?
lowb5str Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 That red dot with "Sorina" is a clue. I notice the pickup's screws are odd. Have you pulled it to check for model? Also, the bridge is not a usual Gibson bridge, but YMMV. Have you googled anything?
stein Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 I looked at the pics, and nothing about it in the contours or construction details resembles anything Gibson has ever done. If it was built by Gibson, I would at least expect the woodwork to look the same even though it is much smaller. As mentioned before, none of the hardware is Gibson either. It looks like besides being a kid guitar, it may also be a travel guitar. Looks like it would be good to practice on and fun.
