pietrox
Hi, I recently bought a Gibson Chad Kroeger "Blackwater" Les Paul and i have some doubts about some caracteristics of the guitar, just like, in Gibson sitein front pagehead it got "Blackwater" mine doesn't have and also the strings beat in the arm of the guitar distorcing the sound. I would aprecciate if someone can tell me if it is an authentic gibson. here is some photos. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/13/foto0389q.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/834/foto0390m.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/97/foto0392c.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/52/foto0393t.jpg/ Hope somene can hlp me. Angellus
Hi and welcome looking at the pictures your guitar has been modified. the saddles have been replaced / or the whole bridge piece and the truss rod cover has been replaced with a blank one, to be honest i do this too is it genuine? based on the pics it appears genuine to me, others may have a different oppinion when they come online and reply to your post. your string issue could have something to do with the repaced bridge/saddles being done incorrectly. did you buy it 2nd hand or from a shop? if its the shop send it back if its second hand take it to a repair shop and get them to take a look at it. let us know how you get on

The blackwater has a piezo bridge so this should indicate if the bridge has been changed or modified. if not it must be only the saddles
pietrox
Thanks for the informations. I'm much more rested to know that the guitar was made in a plant. If you buy a guitar like this you'll make an awesome choice it have such a nice sound and is one of the most beutifull Gibson guitars I'll see the strings as fast as i can, that distorcion caused by the strings is awfull, and hope it is a fast problem to solve that sound is making me crazy!!! Thank you so much Angellus. you have been such a great help. Hope they made left handed, you deserve!
