DAS44
My mother just came home from my grandmothers house. We've been sorting through her things as she has finally (if grudgingly) admitted she is too sickly to live alone. So back to the point, my mom stumbled upon a cache of books. She brought me back a set of Tolkein (I already have loads of Tolkein but this is just cool), A Tale of Two cities (printed sometime during the depression), and an old 1909 Sears Roebuck catalog (gold rings with opals, peals and diamonds? 2 bucks a pop!). I'll be heading on up there to sift through the books myself soon enough, looking forward to it. Just thought I'd share, made my day.
daveinspain
I'll be dealing with the same thing when I'm home for Christmas... My mother was moved to a residence a few months ago. i'll be staying at her old house which is now owned by my brother and I. It's the house I grew up in and there is no one living there now. I'll be getting rid of lots of her stuff and some of my old stuff that's still there too...
