MapleManiac
I would be tempted to get one. But bubinga? That doesn't even sound like a wood! Sounds like an exotic vegetable your mother might have forced you to eat. "Here honey, have some bubinga. It's good for you!".

Jerry K
The current Blues King is back to Mahogany. JM Are you sure about that? There are versions, like the Keb Mo and the L-00 Pro which are mahogany, but the standard Blues King? The Gibson site still says Bubinga. Bubinga, by the way is a heavy, dense wood which sounds great. The difference between bubinga and mahogany is subtle enough that lots of players have no idea that a guitar is bubinga and not mahogany. Cameleye, for example, was the original owner of my bubinga blues king. To this day, he still believes it was mahogany. The model changed to bubinga in 2006. Jerry K
By the way, when I was looking up that old bubinga thread I noticed that the search on this bulletin board sucks big time. I was unable to find the thread. The only way I have found to get good results searching this board is use use this page: http://www.google.ca/advanced_search In the spot where it says 'Search within a site or domain' put 'http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/forum/40-gibson-acoustic/'
