Early Gibson Value?

Here are some pics of a Gibson Model SG JR that my friend thinks is from 1963. He needs to know a value to insure its approximate value. Hope someone can help him.

You might have better luck getting a response posting this on the Gibson USA section. There is an SG sub-forum there. Early 60's SG's have quite a following. You will need the serial number to date it properly, and without that, the value cannot be determined.

First year for the "SG Junior" (Les Paul name went away).

 

If in clean original condition, and red finish not faded to brown ... value would be around $2,000 to $2,200, perhaps more with original case and candy.
