RobinTheHood Posted January 24, 2012 Share Posted January 24, 2012 It looks to be a home-made explorer-style body with an S-500,600 or 800 neck on it. If the body isnt home-made, its some other brand. Definitely not an Epiphone body. Although the pickups and hardware configuration look to be made to appear as a 1984-97 Explorer. But is is not, The body shape and control layout is wrong. Aside from that, none of the Explorers, except the GT, have bolt necks. I'm assuming this is a bolt-neck guitar because of the Epiphone neck. The S-500, 600 & 800 were all bolt-ons. The S-900 was a neck-thru (not a set-neck) so that wouldnt work at all.
