ds42653 Posted February 10, 2008 Share Posted February 10, 2008 I own a custom shop es 355, serial # is B-97060. Figured cherry w/ gold hardware and bigsby. Would this be a 1959, made in 1997, and the 60th guitar made that year in this series? Also it has a push/pull pot in the neck pickup tone control. Is this original to a 1959 or has it been installed after Custom Shop built the guitar? Any idea what this could be being used for? Custom Admin Posted February 10, 2008 Share Posted February 10, 2008 yes, the "9" would associate the guitar with a replica of one made in 1959. this serial number just brings up a standard Custom Shop 355 in cherry from 1997...there's no indication of anything custom about it, so i'm assuming that push/pull poit was added by a previous owner.
