GibbyJoe
Hi all this is my first post and I have a question about the sj200 modern classic, which I am thinking about buying next week. the guy at guitar center said to look on the inernet so I thought the gibson web site would be the right place. The question is exactly what type of electronics pickup system is in this guitar?? On the gibson web site is says it is the top industry elecctronics. The guy at guitar center said it is a fishman. does ne1 know for sure?? I have always wanted a super jumbo and I heard this one is the best of the newer ones released. I would like to just know a little more about it b4 I buy it. thanks paul in santa clara
TWilson
I have a 2007 SJ-200 MC and it's just a fabulous guitar. I'm not really a plug-in guy but I can if I want to. I believe the pickup in these is the L.R. Baggs. Not sure which one. I'm sure someone else here will know.
Jinder
LR Baggs Element Active. Great, simple yet very toneful and unobtrusive pickup. I would use one anywhere, in fact I have one in my Hummingbird MC and last month I played the Royal Albert Hall in London with that, so if that isn't a vote of confidence in the pickup I don't know what is! The SJ200 MC is an incredible guitar too. I would never part with my '03.
GibbyJoe
Thank you. Iknew this was the place to find that out. I am buying the guitar next Friday. If it's good enough for Royal Albert Hall it's good enough for my living room!!! LOL!!!
