rednefceleb
Would it make sense to install a RWRP single coil in the mid position of the NightHawk. With that mod, positions 2 & 4 would not buzz. Any ideas on this idea??
LSAR
I don't think anybody makes one that will fit without modifications, so you'd probably either have to have a normal single coil cavity routed, or rout one yourself. I think it would be cool, and it certainly opens up many more options for what to put there!
hawkfanatic
As i have said before, that benson guy who sells the only NH middle p/u I know of told me in a email he'd wind it any way you want. So i see no reason you couldn't get it reverse wrapped. http://www.bensoncustom.com/services.html

rednefceleb
While comparing prices of custom wound single coil pups/ I got an estimate of $135.00 from Seymour Duncan and Benson will wind a single coil any way I want for $35.00. He's gonna wind a RWRP single coil with mounting holes in it to fit any Night Hawk. Benson pickups is a great lead for the Night Hawk center position with holes between poles in order to install into The N'Hawk. Good Deal! ADDED:6-24-2012. Benson will rewind any of the N'Hawk p'ups. I have corresponded with him 5 or 6 times. Very nice guy-answers all requests fast. He may be a savior for a lot of people who own beautiful guitars that play great, but simply need all of their electronics redone. [Does anyone know who makes guitars like that]? Peace.
