TIZER Posted June 28, 2012 Share Posted June 28, 2012 I Lost the external nut off the jack off my Epiphone SG Prophecy Custom & dont know the size, I have bought several 1/4" but they are the wrong thread pitch. can anyone tell me the correct size/thread? Whitmore Willy Posted June 28, 2012 Share Posted June 28, 2012 Not positive, but I believe the original 1/4" Epi jacks are metric using a M8 x 0.75 thread nut. Most people replace them with 1/4" Switchcraft jack which uses a 3/8" x 32 thread nut. Willy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rednefceleb Posted June 29, 2012 Share Posted June 29, 2012 Hi Bud. Just a quick trip to the Ace Hardware or whatever hardware store you've got. Buy a couple of each 'thin profile' threaded nuts and size one up. Also, always remember to keep all parts that are extra and not going to be be reused.
