davidl
My step daughter got to drive my buddy's 1970 340 Dodge Challenger yesterday. I think she's in love. 2 weeks ago she learned how to drive a 1927 fire truck. Double clutch and all. Some rocky starts but no stalls. Quite proud of her. davidl
Wow that's a nice Challenger, did she get to give it a good go? She found a good spot and brought it up to about 90 mph. The owner was with her.
milod
David... With all due respect to muscle cars, I'm far more impressed with her driving the fire engine, manual transmission, double-clutching shifts etc. Always had a soft spot in my little heart for girls who could handle a crash box. m

Not too many her age can double clutch let alone get a chance to drive an old vehicle like that. Braking is also a challenge. Rear brakes only, that need plenty of room to stop. I know I blew through right a red light with it once on my way to Parliament hill for a memorial celebration.
