JamGuy Posted August 15, 2012 Share Posted August 15, 2012 For what it was worth, I replaced the micro-sized baby blue caps in my LP Special with some Russian made paper in oil caps... the stock ones were .033 and these were .022. It sounded fantastic before and it still sounds fantastic... maybe ever MORE fantastic-erer. Waste of $12 bucks? Maybe, but it sure didn't make it sound any worse... there's a video on the way, I just laid down a cool funk track and a heavier track that I've been trying to do a Warren Haynes-ish track over. Stay tuned... Added some thumb cutters too... just for a little cosmetic addition. Forget the new caps, nothing adds mojo to a guitar quite like blood! Although I prefer to use new PIOs (Jensens, AMPOHMs) since PIOs tend to dry out with age. Check them with a multimeter prior to installing. Enjoy Your guitar! Cheers...
