Fred-SG Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Just bought a brand new SG '61 Reissue made in 2012 at my local music store. While all the details were there, I noticed that the control knobs were not the usual black top hats with silver metal inlays. These are plain black top hats. Although this is not a big concern, I got a little curious about the change, as these controls were not on the guitars in the 60s. Can anyone explain this?
sellen Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 saw this issue at a sg '61 in a local musicstore. I think it's just that they was empty for for those with silver metal inlays. Try to contact Gibson and they might send you the right one's. Congrats with the sg
