hlieboff59
I'm new here. Because of medical reasons, I have to sell my 1978 black Gibson Les Paul custom. It's just way too heavy. After like 2 songs, I can't stand with it anymore. It weights 9.4 pounds. I put it on craigslist for $3000 or best offer. I'm the original ownwer with all original parts and it works like the day I bought it. I received several offers from people ranging from 1800-2000. I also don't play it that much anymore, as my musical tastes have changed. I have had several music stores offer me 1400-1600. Does anybody have an idea of what they're selling for or what I should accept? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Slim Chance
Your CL ad for $3k is too high. If your black (and somewhat heavy) '78 Custom is all original, clean, and has the case, you might accept a $2k offer from an individual buyer ... but as you know a dealer won't pay that much. There are lots of LP's out there for sale.
