I watched a 30 Rock episode this morning, and saw an Epiphone Firefly head/cab combo on the TGS stage. It was in the background, and wasn't so close that you could see the logo, so only someone familiar with the color and distinctive design of the Firefly series would recognize it, but it was there. Gibson seems to have a very good product placement program, as I see their products in many shows, print ads, etc. Plus, their designs are easily recognizable and often iconic, so even when the instrument is not a true product placement (provided to the production for no cost in exchange for promotional consideration) and the logo is blacked out, those who know instruments recognize them. jannusguy2 Posted October 12, 2012 Author Share Posted October 12, 2012 I've been poking around trying to find the clip today but no luck yet. prolly on hulu but i wouldn't know how to excise the one bit from the whole show. just thought it weird to see the guitar's logo blacked out.
