wadeclassic
I have a great ES-335 Dot in Cherry red that I have always wanted.. I have had for a couple of years, and the one issue I have with Gibson is that the 'g' string goes flat after playing even for a short time. I have Curt Mangun 10's on it but I don't get why the 'g' does not stay in tune. I have a Gretsch 6120N and a Fender American Tele that do not exhibit the same characteristics..(Same strings on them). Any ideas, feedback that would help the issue? I have considered getting rid of it for that reason alone, it drives me crazy!!
L5Larry
The nut slot for your "G" string needs filing. Either for width, angle, depth, or all three. It's cheap and simple fix.

kidblast
as Larry suggests, the nut is entirely possible, yet typically a nut bind will go sharp, a lot depends on how you are tuning. For example, avoid tuning DOWN to pitch, so always crank the tuner FLAT, than pull up to pitch. If you hear any "plinking sounds" it is definitely the nut. Try getting some lubricate (like big bends nut sauce, for a home remedy, take a wee amount of Vaseline and a tooth pick and wipe some in the slot) if that resolves the "plinking sound" then have a proper nut dressing down, (and still, get some nut sauce) If it's not the nut, (which is most likely) look at the tuning peg next.
