Cougar
I assume the "PRO" signifies the probucker pickups on these Les Pauls. 1. Do all probuckers have coil splitting? 2. Are probuckers a new feature, or when did they first come out for the LP plustop?
Bluemans335
Probuckers were introduced in 2010 and have been gradually put into more models. They are very good PU's: high-quality Gibson-spec materials; unbalanced, scatterwound coils; roughcast A2 magnets. This is the stuff that PAF lovers drool over. Probuckers have 4-lead wires for splitting. There's also 'Alinco Classic Pros', also 4-wire and A2 magnets. Then there's the single lead 'Alnico Classics' that have A5 magnets. All of these blow away the old '57's and whatever else they used to use. It's like night and day.
