Ollyduke
Hi, just went to play my 3 week old Epiphone es339 and went to plug the jack lead in only to find there is just the plastic outer part that is screwed to the guitar, it appears the part inside the body has come off inside ? Anyone had this happen, obviously I will be talking to the shop tomorrow about a replacement.
brad1
Yep, it happens to many of us. The consequence of using cheap electronics and hardware, that Epi uses, often shows up in the jacks and switches on the guitar. I have a G400 that had problems with the washer on the outside of the jack coming off constantly. Replacing jacks and switches on Epis is a VERY common thing. :(
Dennis G
What Brad said. Also, as long as you're taking it in for repair, have them install a Switchcraft. Problem solved.
